Racing Telegraph Professional, is the web based brother to the long established service launched, on Teletext, to coincide with the Cheltenham Festival (right) all the way back in March 1989. The first service of its kind, the new interactive service included top trainer interviews, previews and reports plus tips from the major training centres and proved hugely popular. With a majestic record at the major Festival meetings at both the Cheltenham Festival & at Royal Ascot, the service is still going as strong as ever. You can join in today, and take advantage of the massive nationwide network of professionals who have served us so well.

March 1990 – The Racing Telegraph moves to offices on Bury Road, Newmarket, an address shared by some of the top trainers in the country, if not the world including Sir Michael Stoute, John Gosden, Jeremy Noseda, Luca Cumani, Clive Brittain and the all-powerful Godolphin team. Situated next door to the world famous Limekilns and the ground breaking, Al Bahathri all-weather gallop heralding more success, as we launch a hugely popular racing club and our first horse, Telegraph Call-girl lands a hat-trick on the revolutionary fibresand at Southwell (right).

September 1992 – our flagship horse, Racing Telegraph, beats subsequent St Leger winner, Mark Tompkins' Bobs Return and the nineties continue in a winning vein. The daily service thrives with more highlights than we have the space to provide but, in particular, the Classic successes of Rodrigo de Triano in the Guineas, User Friendly in the Leger and the superb information on the Luca Cumani trained, High Rise (right) in the 1998 Epsom Derby at a massive 20-1 (right) were undoubtedly some of the more memorable.

The decade also demand for and the emergence of, a new subscription service and Racing Telegraph First Direct, through Racing Information Database is acclaimed as the No. 1 tipping service in the country.

The turn of the millennium can't halt the inexorable momentum of the Racing Telegraph and in employing the expert assistance of former jockeys, Steve Smith-Eccles, David Bridgewater, Richard Rowe and, to great acclaim, Graham Bradley, the daily service breaks all records with winners galore over jumps and more and more sensational results direct from the Newmarket gallops (right). In particular, unraced two year olds and unexposed maidens line the coffers but the huge prices in big handicaps and multiple bet winners the growing number of subscribers happy.

The demand for a presence on-line sees the birth of RacingTelegraph.co.uk and the digital switchover towards the end of the decade sees the Racing Telegraph expand into Digital text on Freeview.

Membership Benefits

Welcome and let us introduce you to the benefits of joining Racing Telegraph Professional. Undoubtedly, the greatest, and most obvious, of which is the opportunity to take advantage of our location at the heart of the British horseracing & breeding industry.

Racing Telegraph, has for over 25 years now, been a significant part of the fabric of British horse racing and not only are we still going strong, our results speak for themselves and many would say we are, appreciably, STRONGER THAN EVER!!

So, let us welcome you to Newmarket. It's our home town and not only is it the equine capital of the world but also the nerve-centre of the British betting industry too.

Member Benefits

  • Realistic STAKING plan
  • Additional ADVICE on the day’s card
  • Odds-on NEVER advised
  • Occasional HORSES TO FOLLOW
  • Occasional GALLOP pointers and
  • ANTE POST advice from time to time.

We are not only based at Newmarket, affectionately known throughout racing simply as 'HEADQUARTERS' but we also share the same address as many of the world's top trainers, with Sir Michael Stoute immediately behind our offices and John Gosden, directly opposite. Just a few yards away, either side of us is the world's largest bloodstock operation. Sheikh Mohammed's huge Godolphin operation has both Saeed Bin Suroor and Charlie Appleby close at hand while the most prolific yards of Classic winner, Roger Varian, surely destined for the top, shrewdie, Jeremy Noseda and the highly progressive Richard Spencer, already a Royal Ascot winner and another destined for the top, are only yards away! A swift scan through our results over the years would see them littered with winners from each of these yards and as you can see, it is understandable why people would consider this small enclave to be the nerve centre for, if any of these trainers has a runner on any given day, the betting world anticipates developments with bated breath!

Also, within yards of our offices, at the top of Bury Road is the world famous Limekilns gallops which have overseen the preparations for decades, if not centuries, of classic winners including, most recently, of course, the brilliant Frankel and Kingman and, indeed, the horse who adorns this site, Sea Moon (above right ), upon whom we landed a massive gamble in the Great Voltigeur at York a season or two ago. He is embedded in the history of Racing Telegraph.

At the other end of Bury Road is the Clocktower, one of the town's most famous landmarks situated at the top of the High Street. A hive of activity during racedays where many impressionable punters have sought those elusive snippets from stable lads and the like.

We are your eyes and ears at HQ but don't think that prevents us from ascertaining top class information from elsewhere. The huge Nationwide network of contacts that have been built up over 25 years in the industry is at our disposal, both on the flat and over jumps. Indeed, in recent years some would argue that our National Hunt information is, at least, the equal of our flat race news. A quick glance at results seems to imply same and our successes at the mecca of jump-racing, at Cheltenham, particularly at the Festival itself bears the closest scrutiny. All told, the Racing Telegraph's huge contact-base is more than capable of regularly providing you with the very best Inside Information that money can buy!!

Continuing our Cheltenham 2019 review…

Day 3, Thursday 14th March

Onto the new course then on Thursday and the ground a good deal quicker than it was on the opening day. The first event of the day saw us land a nice touch when the Philip Hobbs trained, Defi Du Seuil duly obliged and landed some nice bets for us, well backed into 3/1. It was a More...

2019 Cheltenham Festival review....

So, after a couple of days well earned rest, we have had the opportunity to look back on the single biggest meeting of the year in the National Hunt calendar and we thought you would be interested to hear our take on our performance at the Cheltenham Festival 2019.

Day 1, Tuesday 12th March

So, on the Tuesday we were confronted with the type of ground that the majority of the country’s trainers had been crying out for, for the previous three months but didn’t More...

Another BIG DAY on Wednesday

WHAT A GREAT DAY we enjoyed last Wednesday at CHELTENHAM with BAND OF OUTLAWS 5/1 to 7/2 and ENVOI ALLEN  7/2 into 2/1 both obliging and our old friend BALLYANDY once again ran his heart out, going down by only a half length backed from 22/1 into 14/1 - what a superstar he has been for us at three Festivals! Not long after, URGENT De GREGAINE landed our largest bet of the day, the PROFESSIONAL BET  though, unfortunately, he bumped into a Tiger Roll that looks much improved and our horse had to settle for place money but the job was done and profit made, advised at 9/1 and backed into 17/2. A SUPERB DAY in prospect this Wednesday with meetings at Haydock, Chepstow and Market Rasen.   More...

Near 20pts PROFIT, Cheltenham BEST BETS alone..

What a week we had at Cheltenham!! Winners every day and a near 20pt PROFIT on BEST BETS alone. The final day provided some interesting EW bets most of which were landed but we did the damage to the bookies in the earleir part of the week. Either way, though, we were well pleased with the information we both received and passed on and are now looking forward with relish to both the Aintree Grand National meeting and, indeed the start of the Flat. The AGONY and the ECSTACY On Day 3

A day of mixed emotions at CHELTENHAM on Thursday with BEST BET PAISLEY PARK powering up the hill to take the Stayers Hurdle, heavily supported from 7/4 to 11/8, and DEFI DU SEUIL taking the opener in fine style at 3/1, plus ROAD TO RESPECT and DIDERO VALLIS landiing good ew bets. But, oh the AGONY we suffered as 50/1 JOB (when advised) TOBEFAIR looked sure to win only to be nutted on the line by the favourite! That's racing, though, and we remain in FINE FETTLE for the final day when many of you will recall that LE PREZIEN ended the Festioval in style for us last year, landing a MASSIVE GAMBLE from 12/1 to 15/2! More...

13th Mar 18:33

A terrific end to the day on day two as ENVOI ALLEN backed from 7/2 into 2/1, completed a brilliant afternoon for us at CHeltenham. After huge placed efforts in the first two, BALLYANDY once again ran his heart out for us, going down by only a half length backed from 22/1 into 14/1. What a superstar he has been for us at three Festivals. Not long after, URGENT De GREGAINE landed our largest bet of the day, the PROFESSIONAL BET we had been trying to keep under our hats until this day for nearly two months. Unfortunately, he bumped into a Tiger Roll that looks an improved version on the one that has been winning everything before him and after moving up menacingly two out, hard on the bridle, our horse had to settle for place money but the job was done and profit made! Advised at 9/1 and More...

They say you make your own luck....10/1 BEST Bet Wins

It was looking to be one of those days for much of Tuesday at Cheltenham. Angels Breath got badly struck into in the first, before Mick Channons Glen Forsa unseated his rider when making a tiny mistake early on in the Arkle and then when Buveur D'Air missed out in the Champion it looked like the only luck we were getting on day one was of the bad variety. However, our decision to follow our best marks and, indeed, our instinct produced a nice 10/1 Best Bet WINNER when ROKSANA took advantage More...
